Carolina Sá Couto, is a Fashion Design graduate from Regent’s University London with a background in Product Design and Textiles. Her practice is rooted in storytelling, in the idea that a collection is not only a set of garments, but a complete visual language that extends into image, atmosphere, casting, and identity.
Much of her work begins with emotion and cultural memory. Her graduate collection Saudade, selected for the 2026 Regent’s University ShowLab, explores feminine identity, longing, and Portuguese heritage, translating folk references and personal history into contemporary womenswear. From concept to runway, she led the full creative direction: garment construction, textile development, editorial photography, and visual identity. That continuity between the making and the framing is where she feels most at home.
She has had the privilege of working at Richard Quinn, contributing to the production of SS26 runway looks under live show deadlines, and interning at Adidas in a cross-functional strategy role. She holds an Inside LVMH Certificate in Creation & Branding, and was recognised with the Vice Chancellor Commendation Award in 2023.
Trained first at Escola Artística Soares dos Reis in Porto, she brings a grounding in craft, including pattern cutting, textile development, natural dyeing, and embroidery, alongside fluency in the editorial and directorial side of fashion. She is drawn to contexts where craftsmanship and concept are treated with equal seriousness, and where a creative vision is carried consistently from the studio to the image to the world.
